Reiki Energy Healing

reiki 9.png

A gentle space to rest, receive, and return to yourself.

Reiki is a gentle energy-healing practice intended to support relaxation, balance, emotional well-being, and a deeper connection with yourself. You don't have to understand energy, believe a certain way, or arrive feeling perfectly centered. You simply come as you are.

 What is Reiki?

Reiki means “universal life-force energy.”

Reiki originated in Japan and is commonly associated with Mikao Usui. During a Reiki session, a practitioner uses gentle touch or holds their hands just above the body with the intention of supporting relaxation and energetic balance.

Rather than forcing or manipulating an experience, Reiki is traditionally approached as a practice of allowing and receiving. People often use Reiki alongside their existing physical, emotional and spiritual wellness practices.

Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace medical or mental-health care.

Everything is connected. During Reiki, attention may naturally be drawn toward areas associated with the chakra system. Rather than treating a chakra as something that is simply “broken” or needs to be forced open, Reiki offers an opportunity for quiet awareness, relaxation and balance.

What can a Reiki Session feel like?

Warmth or coolness around different areas of the body.

Subtle pulsing, buzzing or energetic sensations.

Some people become extremely relaxed or even fall asleep.

Feelings or memories may surface.

Some people report colors, imagery or dreamlike impressions.

And sometimes… nothing dramatic happens at all.

“There is no ‘right’ way to experience Reiki.”

 The Five Reiki Principles

Just for today...

I will not anger.

I will not worry.

I will be grateful.

I will do my work honestly.

I will be kind to every living thing.

 Distance Reiki

Energy Doesn’t Require the Same Room

Within Reiki tradition, distance Reiki uses focused intention and established practices to offer Reiki when practitioner and recipient are not physically together

Reiki I & II Practitioner
Reiki_Safe-4.png

My approach to Reiki is rooted in compassion, intention, consent, and respect for each person's individual experience. My role isn't to tell you what you're supposed to feel or what your experience must mean. I create and hold a peaceful space where you can slow down, listen inward, and experience Reiki in your own way. My Reiki practice can stand beautifully on its own or, when desired, complement the shamanic practices that are also part of my work at Sage Embers Soul Healing.

You remain fully clothed, getting comfortable lying down or seated.

The healing session begins with hands placed gently on or above the body.

Time to come back, hydrate, discuss the experience, and receive guidance.

“You remain in control of your session at all times.”

 Reiki Meets Shamanic Practice

Shamanic Reiki

Reiki and shamanic practice can complement one another beautifully. Sessions can incorporate elements of shamanic practice—like drum, rattle, grounding, and journey-based work—alongside Reiki, always with your knowledge and consent.
